Privacy Policy

Ferry Flight Hub ("the Service", "we", "us") is operated by American Aviation Parts LC ("AAP"), an Arizona limited liability company and the data controller for purposes of this Policy. This Policy explains what personal information we collect when you use the mobile app or this website, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have.

By creating an account or using the Service you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide:

• Account data — name, email, password (stored hashed), phone.
• Role profile — if you sign up as a pilot, your FAA airman certificate number, ratings, medical class, flight hours, aircraft categories, home base, and uploaded credential documents (certificates, medical, insurance).
• Booking data — aircraft registration (N-number), origin and destination airports, dates, notes you add.
• Payment instrument — collected by our payment processor (Stripe) and tokenized; we do not store card numbers.
• Support content — any message you send us or post in in-app chat, including attachments.

Collected automatically:

• Device info — model, OS version, app version, language.
• Diagnostics — crash reports and performance traces.
• Usage — which screens you open and which features you use (aggregated, no ad tracking).
• Network — IP address and approximate city (for fraud prevention and region-appropriate content).

Permissions on iOS or Android:

• Camera — only when you tap "Scan N-number" or upload a credential document.
• Photos — only to attach an image to a booking message or credential upload you choose.
• Location — only when you are actively on a ferry flight and have enabled live tracking so the customer can see progress. You may revoke this at any time in system Settings.
• Notifications — to deliver booking status, chat messages, and safety alerts.

From third parties:

• Public FAA Airmen and Aircraft Registry data, which we use to match pilots and verify aircraft.
• Our payment processor returns transaction status.

2. How we use your information

• Operate the marketplace — match customers with ferry pilots, create and fulfil bookings, exchange messages, and process payments and payouts.
• Verify pilot credentials against FAA records and uploaded documents.
• Provide safety features — flight tracking, preflight checklists, emergency contact.
• Comply with tax (IRS 1099), aviation (FAA Part 91 logging), and legal obligations.
• Prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access.
• Send operational emails and push notifications. We do not send marketing push; marketing email only with opt-in.
• Improve the Service via aggregate analytics and crash diagnostics.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.

3. Who we share information with

• The counterparty on your booking. A pilot sees customer contact and aircraft details once a booking is confirmed; a customer sees the pilot's name, ratings, and public profile.
• Service providers we rely on. Hosting (AWS US regions), payment processing (Stripe), email delivery, push notification relays (Apple APNs, Google FCM), and error monitoring. Each is contractually restricted to processing data only for us.
• Regulators and law enforcement when required by law, subpoena, or to protect safety.
• Successor entity in the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.

4. Retention

We keep account and booking records while your account is active and for up to seven years after closure, the minimum period required to meet FAA flight-log retention (14 CFR §91.417) and IRS tax recordkeeping rules. Diagnostic logs are kept for 90 days. Deleted-account records are kept only in the anonymized form required for legal compliance.

5. Your rights

You can, at any time:

• Access or export your data — Profile → Export my data. We email an archive within 24 hours.
• Correct your profile — Profile → Edit pilot profile (or Edit profile).
• Delete your account — Profile → Delete my account. Your account is marked for deletion immediately and permanently removed after a 30-day reversible window, subject to the legal retention rules above.
• Revoke sessions — sign out from every device by changing your password on ferryflighthub.com.
• Opt out of marketing email via the unsubscribe link in any marketing message.

California residents have additional rights under the CCPA and CPRA, including the right to know, to delete, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. Because we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context advertising, there is nothing to opt out of.

EU/UK users have additional rights under the GDPR/UK GDPR including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. Our legal basis is performance of contract (bookings), legal obligation (FAA/IRS), and legitimate interest (fraud prevention and product improvement).

To exercise any right, use the in-app controls above or contact us through our support page. We respond within 30 days.

6. Security

We use TLS in transit, token-based authentication, encrypted database columns for sensitive fields, and least-privilege access controls. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach that affects you, we will notify you without undue delay as required by applicable law.

7. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.

8. International users

Ferry Flight Hub is operated from the United States. If you use the Service from outside the US, you consent to the transfer and processing of your information in the US under US law.

9. Changes to this Policy

We will post the revised Policy on this page with an updated effective date and, for material changes, notify you by email or in-app banner at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
